Adding Efficiencies and Needed Support with SCADA Upgrade

Marshall was frustrated with how their SCADA system and their four onsite HMIs ran different software packages, the total of which required excessive maintenance. They were also frustrated with the limited radio communication options the software had for their remote sites.

Kennedy’s Control Group proposed VTScada software and four touchscreen computers for each of their HMI locations. It provided Marshall with a single software package, which reduces maintenance and costs. Kennedy replaced the radio system by providing access to KISM’s private cellular network (through Verizon) and even integrated some of Marshall’s new onsite fiber network.
